I have posted on my site a copy of TV Servicing, a 45-page booklet published by RCA in 1951:

This is not a comprehensive service guide, but a collection of articles, mostly written by John Meagher, author of RCA's Pict-O-Guide television books and one of my favorite technical writers from that era.

The intro says that these articles appeared in RCA Service News, a publication I haven't seen before. Is anyone else familiar with it? A quick search didn't turn anything up.

Enjoy!

These were booklets sent to RCA service shops from the RCA Electron Tube Division.

I've attached a bunch of scans here, one of which has an article on John Meager you might find interesting. "Johnny Comes Marching Home Again, Hurrah, Hurrah!"

A couple more covers...

And thanks for making that booklet available!

Thanks, those scans are pretty interesting. So Meagher also created the "dynamic demonstrator," a working radio or TV with its parts spread out on a big board for demonstration purposes. I have seen photos of the radio board, but don't recall seeing the TV version.

This company in India still manufactures radio and TV demonstrators!

There were several radio versions, and probably several TVs as well.

Here is an early TV version:

They also made a VOM:
