Found this little Panasonic 3" set while out thrifting today, haven't seen this one before.

The lower part is a detachable battery pack, takes D cells I think. I scrounged up a universal PS at the thrift also to test it with and it works.

Here it's playing Double Indemnity from my Agile Modulator, the image isn't very good, the brightness doesn't really turn down much and it lacks contrast, not sure if it's a problem with the set or just the way it is.

Neat little set. Pix looks normal ( but snowy ) to me.
One thing to watch for is the same thing as in color sets.
The B+ that feeds the video out transistor & CRT cathode.
Usually a bad cap ( typ 4.7mfd). Gives many symptoms
some quite subtle & some have you saying CRT wrongly.

Model number? Panasonic is funny with their service manuals - they don't list the sets by the model year, for some reason :nono: like every other manufacturer and Sams....
