What model is this General electric tv ?
View Full Version : Identify this mini GE TV ? Robb 11-02-2015, 09:48 PM What model is this General electric tv ? Electronic M 11-02-2015, 10:22 PM Don't know the model, but it is almost definitely Sony made....I have a similar Sony: same tuning knob/form factor....The big difference is those top controls are small front knobs on mine. http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i469/ElectronicMemory/th_DSCN0740.jpg (http://s1095.photobucket.com/user/ElectronicMemory/media/DSCN0740.jpg.html) http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i469/ElectronicMemory/th_DSCN0739.jpg (http://s1095.photobucket.com/user/ElectronicMemory/media/DSCN0739.jpg.html) WISCOJIM 11-02-2015, 10:31 PM What model is this General electric tv ? Are you sure its a GE? Doesn't look familiar at all. . Findm-Keepm 11-02-2015, 11:37 PM Possibly GEC? GE of Canada - they imported different stuff than GE-US, wheras GE in the US made 90% of the sets in the US, either in Utica, Syracuse, or Portsmouth. GE-US usually went with Sanyo for their off-shore stuff, like TV/cassette combos. Sony never made re-badged stuff - their subsidiary, Aiwa, did, but mostly for European markets. Aiwa made some boomboxes for Magnavox and a couple of other manufacturers. WISCOJIM 11-03-2015, 05:08 AM I haven't known GE to have any portables that didn't have their name right on the front. I can't read it from this picture. Looks like channel/tuning by the knob, but where I'd expect a brand name to be is unreadable, but it surely doesn't look like "GENERAL ELECTRIC". . zeno 11-03-2015, 07:43 AM Total mystery to me. GE would have there logo. Often spelled out: GENERAL (logo) ELECTRIC. It dose have a JVC / Nivico / Delmonico flavor to it & they sent over some real strange & rare stuff. 73 Zeno:smoke: WISCOJIM 11-03-2015, 08:28 AM Yep, looks like a JVC to me. Robb, why were you thinking it was a General Electric set? http://www.ebay.com/itm/221929570312 jr_tech 11-03-2015, 11:44 AM What is the screen size of this little set... the tube used in the Sony micro-tv is only about 3.6 or 3.5 inch diagonal... it looks to me as if the Nivco may have used a larger tube. jr WISCOJIM 11-03-2015, 12:54 PM The one in the ebay listing I posted is model 4T-50A and the seller claims it is a 4-inch screen. Robb 11-03-2015, 04:21 PM Are you sure its a GE? Doesn't look familiar at all. . No I took a guess lol Total mystery to me. GE would have there logo. Often spelled out: GENERAL (logo) ELECTRIC. It dose have a JVC / Nivico / Delmonico flavor to it & they sent over some real strange & rare stuff. 73 Zeno:smoke: Findally got one on you ! haha Sandy G 11-03-2015, 07:27 PM Well, in any case, I kinda LIKE the L'il Feller... centralradio 11-05-2015, 08:45 PM I have a Ross set with AM/FM radio that does look like that set. bgadow 11-07-2015, 09:15 PM It looks like a JVC/Nivico/Delmonico (or some combo therein!) that I have, except mine has a UHF knob below the VHF on the right. |
