Here's a circa '47 Motorola WR4 wireless record player that I recently obtained and it's unusual that it uses a record changer (most wireless record players were single play). This one uses a 6J5 rectifier tube, a 6SK7 osc/mod tube, and is designed to broadcast to a nearby AM radio.

Now, here's the problem. This thing was packed fairly well; but, as you can see, one of the potmetal pieces in the record changer is broken. In the pre-shipment pictures, this piece is intact; but, it could have very well been cracking and the stress of shipment finished it off. I may try to put it back together with JB Weld; but, I don't know how well that will work. Besides that, my other option is to find a junker record changer with a good part. If none of the above works out, I'll be stuck using this as a manual player.

Also, I wonder if this changer was made by someone else or was it an in-house Motorola-built product?
