Hello all im here going by mjcman. Hope this message and finds you all in good health. I have a grandfather with old 8 or 10 mm films. They are old john holmes and lucy lawless ect.Even one where she is with a dog. Gross i know. Anyway do these films hold any value? Does anyone even collect vintage porn? I looked on ebay and didnt find much. Im not super internet savvy but I sure couldnt find alot of info on the subject. But a old porn with lucy and a dog you would think would be worth quite a bit. Thanks mjcman

Welcome to VideoKarma :)

Y'know, when I saw this thread by a new poster, I wasn't sure whether to delete it, edit it, or let it stand....for two reasons. First, it's not quite our subject matter....second, it's about porn. But since you haven't been too graphic (which we appreciate) and the fact that this might draw some interesting sidebar, I'll let it stand for the moment to see where this is all going. For now, I can speak for a lot of the members here who looked at this thread and said.....

honest, but odd question.

A friend of mine found some similar material and had similar questions. While they will be of value to someone - especially if these haven't already been ripped and released online somewhere - the catch is how to find that person.

Ebay and many similar sites won't allow such products. Those sites that specifically cater to the niche of products that ebay doesn't allow either don't get enough traffic to be worthwhile or were suspicious enough that he didn't want to put his name on an account.

Your best option may be to post on porn forums. You will need to at least post some still images to get any attention.

+1 on what Tim said. We're really more of a group of old radio & TV nuts. Myself, I can pretty much take it or leave it when it comes to porn. Leave it, mostly. Perhaps we're just NOT the group for you...

honest, but odd question.

A search of the archives reveals some helpful discussion on an earlier thread.

Well, first of all this isn't the place to post something about this. Most all of us on here are collectors or have an interest in old and retro TVs, and other electronic items. Second off, if those films have anything depicting porn involving with an animal (dog in this case), I believe such material now is illegal at least within the U.S. The only thing I've seen on here about retro film is equipment that transfers film and movies of any sort to video which was common in television stations, before the advent of video tape. Personally I'd destroy the films, if I were you.

I could NOT agree MORE !! i did NOT realize Lucy Lawlwss was such a whore--having sex with ANIMALS !! Once a person goes that far--as far as I am concerned--they are "done for" No recovery...at least to me. .

I do not care if there is some extreme pervert out there--who would pay a BILLION dollars for such filth--I would DESTROY them !! Money gained from the sale of ABSOLUTELY degenerate items is the ULTIMATE in DIRTY money--and I for one would want NO part of it...

Then again, if you wanna laugh, try porn on a vintage tv set. :D

I remember hearing, years ago, that the number one reason for buying a VCR was to view porn in the privacy of one's home. When asked, most will act disgusted and say they despise it, but it's a HUGE industry. They say today Hollywood's biggest industry is porn - and it's ALL over the Net. There's mega-dollars in it. Let's face it, obviously someone is enjoying it! :) I'm sure, in the proper place, there will be someone who will desire to buy the films.

Not only the VCR. Porn also helped drive the adoption of pulp paperback books, Polaroid cameras, and broadband internet.

Keeping the world fapping away helps drive the adoption of new technologies and contributes more than you might want to realize to the economy...

So true. It's just a reality that has always been and always will be. Under the pretty dresses and neckties we're just animals with primal inclinations! :)

True, but I think Miley Cyrus has stolen her thunder in that regard.

the woman with the dog was linda lovelace.she denied it but later claimed she was forced at gunpoint.who the hell cares?this topic reminds me of a guy i worked with back in the 70s.he was a gas jockey.i was a mechanic.he would wait on women and pull the nozzles in and out, slowly at first and them rapidly.then he pull it out and shoot fuel on the side of the car.i asked if he ever work in porn

The original owner of those films had some unusual kinks, but to each their own I say.
I could probably curl some members' hair if I described some things I seen, and was either un-offended or turned on by...But I don't want to do that.

I love the straight face/nonchalant wording of the title...Its sort of like a stuntman lit on fire walking into a random unsuspecting buisness and casually saying "Don't mind me, I'm just on fire".

Not sure how I feel about this, they say porn is a sickness, maybe so, nudity was always in the TV movies but blocked by the FCC until now. It was just a posted question so I don't see the harm and I myself could care less if there was no porn. Now a pretty woman no matter her dress is fine with me. So I say just look at this as freedom of speech. :-)

I think it would be a burden to be into that crap, not unlike heavy drinking and drugs.

As Sgt. Joe Friday once said, "It's an unhealthy habit I don't encourage in others son. Get smart; give it up by not taking it up." He was talking about smoking though.

Welcome to Videokarma. This thread with that title would of got axed a long time ago if it was on that over moderated old TV/radio forum.

Lucy Lawless was nice on XENA so was her blond friend.I forgot her name..Where is she now.She was great on SNL years back.

Porn did drove up on sales of video equipment in the 1980s way before the internet took over with the virus infected sites.

With all of the old used video equipment popping up everywhere and who knows if it was used for taping porn or weddings.

You never know what that classic Sony Betamax camcorder was in its previous life.
