Watching the sizzling HBO series "Masters of Sex," The series takes place in the mid-late 50's. The end of Sunday night's episode showed people watching a prize fight in a darkened hotel bar TV set. The set looks to be an RCA CTC-5 console. Pehaps the "Wescott" model. Earlier in the show a modified? B&W RCA model was seen in the hotel room scenes. A "Deluxe" logo is seen in tight shots. This series really holds true to the 50's era.

Steve,

My wife was watching a movie on TCM "The thrill of it all" with Doris Day and James Garner shot in 1962. They used all Zenith's 1st color chassis series 29jc20's and had a lot of shots showing the Rca TK 40 cameras.

Steve,

I found two still shots from the movie.

Larry,

I happened to catch "The Thrill of it All" in the TCM James Garner tribute. Many shots of that very high end Zenith color roundie. In one scene Garner's son is flipping channels on the remote and exclaims "look at the color" when he lands on a color program. Universal didn't miss a chance to take a dig at television showing Carl Reiner doing the same character and plot in seemingly different shows each week. Sorry to see that nice '58 Chevy convertible go in the pool. I guess in 1962 '58 Chevy's were expendable.:pity:
