RCA Victor, NBC & NBC affliate KTAR-TV in Phoenix, Az. ran a great outdoor color tv advertising campaign in the 60's. This was cross promotion at its best.

Thanks Steve! Just finished emailing a close friend in Mesa about Ludwig Von Duck and how he sold a bleep-load of RCA color sets in the 60s. I'll send along these pics, if it's OK. Private use only for smile value.

No Problem Kevin, I hope your friend in Mesa enjoys the photos. KTAR is now KPNX-TV and is licensed in the city of Mesa.:thmbsp:

Yes, great pictures!

I also like seeing the Amurrican cars in the background. Heck I even saw a Ram-bam-bambler!!

cross promotion works even better when both companies have the same owner.

back then I was sorta like Ralphie from Christmas story, but instead of a Red Ryder bb gun, I wanted an Rca color tv

You & me both Larry. I saw my 1st color tv when I was 10 in 1954. It would be another 8 years before I hauled a used RCA CTC-5 home.
