Well worth getting if the price is right. sampson159 06-05-2014, 07:39 AM the famous avanti!this is a flat chassis and again, the best set ever made.period zeno 06-05-2014, 10:44 AM If its an E-line it could have either the 25EC58 flat or 25EC45 upright. They changed chassis mid year. Being an Avanti its worth getting either way if the price is right. There was probably a change in model # on the last number but I dont remember. 73 Zeno:smoke: Jon A. 06-05-2014, 03:04 PM Not yellowed either. Would be worth having for many here, especially if it's a flatty. You ought to grab it and hang onto it, could make getting that Porta-Potty easier. pac.attack76 06-06-2014, 01:02 PM What do these usually sell for? Or what would be a fair price? sampson159 06-06-2014, 05:56 PM 100-200 dollars would be fare depending on working and cabinet condition.an excellent player with a sharp cabinet could fetch 250-300 from the right buyer Robb 06-06-2014, 07:12 PM fare Fair. Jon A. 06-06-2014, 08:07 PM Cabinet type plays into it as well. Avantes (that one) are considered to be worth far more than any other type by most around here. I wish I knew what the style of my flatty's cabinet is called. rca2000 06-06-2014, 08:17 PM I think Zenith was imitating the RCA 2000 with that cabinet design... The 2000 did it better and the CTC-47 chassis looks ALMOST as nice as the Zenith flatties. ALmost...but NOT QUITE. The zenith flatties (25DC56, 58, EC58 DC57 CC55) are better, though. rca2000 06-06-2014, 08:20 PM My "porta-potty " i just picked up (porta-color) Is available--if someone wants to mkae me a deal. I speak and show about it in another post. DaveWM 06-10-2014, 09:20 AM I don't need another one, but still would like to see some pics being the PC collector that I am. Jon A. 06-10-2014, 03:21 PM I think Zenith was imitating the RCA 2000 with that cabinet design... Then others copied the Zenith design, i.e. Electrohome and Panasonic. http://www.tvhistory.tv/1977-Electrohome-pg12.JPG zeno 06-11-2014, 09:19 AM Dead ringer cabinet. The orange color button looks Zenith but the knobs look VERY panasonic. Someone a while back posted the Panasonic clone, was it Robb ? Looked it up in Sams & it had a nice simple chassis like a Zenith, even used the Zenith regulated transformer. I bet the Electrohome is Panasonic built. 73 Zeno Jon A. 06-11-2014, 05:22 PM Nah, that was me. Unfortunately I have since pulled the pics to reclaim attachment space. |
