Hi guys, my name is Jason and I'm a new member here...just checking in. Have been browsing the antique radio forum (my primary area of interest) and like what I've been seeing. Big fan of Winky Dink and Bob Andersen's work. Good job, guys. Restoring antique radios can be tough, but documenting the job along the way for the education and benefit of others is 3 times the challenge, so thanks to folks like you who do so much to help the hobby!

I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. I'm a ham and I collect, restore and operate primarily vintage military and shipboard radio gear. You can check out some of my ham gear over at my QRZ.com page (http://qrz.com/db/N6MKC).

Over the last couple of years, I've started collecting and restoring antique civilian radios and have a particular fondness for the more ornate pre-1940 consoles, Zeniths in particular. I have a number of table radios, but for some reason, I prefer consoles. I always say that I was born 40 years too late. That being said, I get the impression that I'll be in good company here.
