Has anyone come up with a decent way to replace a cracked rubber CRT bezel for their portholes? I'm working on a 19"... like to share some ideas on the subject. Mine is in one piece, but completely cracked and warped on the inner side that shows.

First thing that came to mind was to use some black garage door weatherstripping, and paint it green with some plastic or vinyl paint. Something like this:

I too have a Zenith 19" Porthole with a cracked mask.
I was wondering if one could bond a piece of fiberglass across the cracks,
or use some bonding/filler then painting it.

I guess the mask needs to be somewhat flexible as the CRT snuggles up into the
mask. In addition the mask holds up the front of the CRT.

Yeah the fiberglass might be too rigid. Something like the porthole mask equivalent of an automotive 'dash cap' might be in order.... just a strip of something to wrap all the way around to cover the cracks?

Would definitely have a seam... just put it at the top. :)
