So do I. I remember getting up at 5:30 a.m. on weekends to watch the three Cleveland TV stations sign on. This was in the late '60s-early '70s, long before the era of 24-hour TV, although our channel 8 (CBS at that time) used to show all-night movies on Friday nights. Interesting to be able to watch movies on 8 at three a.m., long after the other two stations had signed off for the night.

This is the console version of the table model I've been working on model 950 , the table model I think is more attractive , it really produces a good image but if you have read the thread I created I've got a headache with it that when it runs for 20 minutes or so the horizontal frequency starts to drift to the point where it can't be corrected if run long enough, the only things I can think of at this point would be maybe the osc transformer is at fault , there might be a mica inside the housing that drifts ? or the only other thing I can think of is the fly ? i'm really annoyed with it because I can't figure it out unless I borrow an osc transformer from another set to see if it does it and if it does try another fly , it uses a 630 style osc transformer and you guessed it a 630 fly ( fly-1 )

I have seen many sets where the linearity could never be made perfect. I guess that is not necessarily a defect, just a limit of the circuit design. I find with most sets there is a compromise in the setup adjustments.

I see vertical linearity issues, not horizontal ones.

Are you serious? The left side of the raster is stretched and the right side is squished.

Who here remembers stations signing back off during mid-day until 5 o'clock pm or thereabouts?
All three Memphis stations did that until the mid 60's.

The curvature of the screen of the CRT could make it look that way in a photo. Also, the father doesn't have a suit and tie on, like every other photo of a family back then always had him wearing.

And stations signing on at 5AM would have programs like "Modern Farmer", even in New York City.

the yoke needs to be adjusted because its tilted , yes I can see a vertical issue but the horizontal issue while I can get the left side of my Olympic to look proper I can't get the right to stop squeezing , it can be improved but not eliminated , perhaps it is a defect in the design and can not be corrected at all.... now when that set was delivered weren't they supposed to set it up and make sure it was working ? maybe a relative of muntz did it not bothering to correct the yoke , vertical and horizontal.
