Hi All, found this ad on Craigslist. I'm thinking it is around 1970's don't know if it is American parts or matsushita parts inside. should i go get it?

I'm going to take a guess and say that it is from the matsushita era.

And correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that these set, although "less collectible" might be better performer than the motorola models of a few years before.

Yeah, it's a Matsushita TV from around '77.

I second the Matshashta identity, NO question about it.
For a portable yes they are better. I dont know if Moto
built a SS set under 19" so can only compare to the
hybrids I remember. We wernt in a heavy motorola area.
Sold Quasars for a while as a second line after Admiral
gave it up. Ran nice but lots of FBT's went in them.
Also the other Panny problems...

I think the best Matsushita-era Quasar's were during the mid '70's to very early '80's. I wasn't too crazy about most '80's Matsushita/Panasonic/Quasar TV's - too many smoked flybacks, too many weak CRT's, too many bad solder connections/low quality PC boards, and/or a combination of the above.
