How does one go about finding the Zenith service manual for a particular chassis? I got lucky in the past and found one for my CC2. I was just looking for any type of service manual and found a site that had a service manual and it happed to be the CM-127 (genuine Zenith manual and schematics). For my latest chassis I was able to get a Sams Photofacts, but it is for the manual tuner and I have the Space Command. I'd like to get the manual that covers not only the remote tuner, but hopefully the remote as well.

I've looked on the net, but can't figure out how the CM- system works.

Thanks

IIRC the Zenith tuners were in separate manuals with numbers
like TM or TS. I probably got the Sams, I will look tomorrow.
They almost always have all the different tuners, remotes, etc.
Sams are also a bit easier to work with, Sams are all drawn
the same where as factory manuals are all different.
Some of the Japanese ones are horrible..........

The Sams I have now has the tuner as part of it, but it's for a manual tuner. The Sams site only has this one listed, so I downloaded it.

I took apart the Space Command 600 to clean it and grease it if need be. I got it back together, but even from the start it didn't look right. I think someone had been in there before. The bars must be in the correct positions as it was working, but there are marks on the ends that I think note position. There are four of them and they start of with one mark, two marks, three marks and four marks. The thing is that the started of as 2,3,4 and 1. I figured it would be 1,2,3 and 4.

I checked my Sams here is the poop.
The remote reciever is in a separate folder 1370-2A.
If you got this from Sams IMHO they should have included it.
Anyone for that matter. You should see if they will send it
free, although you prob. will never use it.
Both the varactor tuners are covered in the regular Sams 1370-2.
The thing NOT covered is the selector unit. Thats the part with
all the presets. You will have to find the origional either
TM (tuner manual ) or TS (tuning systems ) manual. Again you
prob will never use it. Never changed one.
