Out of curiousity, I'm looking for more examples of chassis numbers
for the Philco 48-2500 Projection TV.
Fellow Video Karma members Tim and ErikH piqued my interest in this.
From Riders 2-135 for the 48-2500 projection TV:
"The last two digits of the series give the run number.
For instance, if the number is 0332016702, the set is Run 2."
My chassis number is 011206702 and the "02" concurrs with my
observation that my Chassis is Run 2 because it uses 500mmf HV
capacitors instead of 1000mmf.
EricH posted that is chassis is 011293707 and thus must be Run 7.
My supposition derived from Tim's posting is that 0112 identifies the chassis
as being for the projection TV, and that numbers in postion 5 thru 7 are the serial number.
Like to see more chassis numbers to see if this makes sense.
Anyone who has a Philco 48-2500 might find this interesting too.
