I bought one of these the other day and havent picked it up yet. Its a tubed radio with at least 4 bands and a TT. It also has a wine rack/bar on the other side of the console. Has anyone seen something like this?
thanks Wes

We have a Blaupunkt console "Arkansas" model in the shop that has a cabinet in the left hand side...maybe this is for a liquor cabinet...there does not appear to be enough height or depth on the shelves for record storage. It still appears to have the original 240v. lamps in the cabinet and TT area, also has the original German sales receipts from a shop over there.
It appears to have short wave, long wave, medium wave (regular AM)
and FM, but the FM is 88-100 mHz. only, that must have been the German FM range.
Am not sure how it came to this country...someone brought it in for us to sell. It has a multi-voltage selector as most German sets do, to allow it to be used on 110 v.

You can adjust the FM bobines, so it'll work on 88-108 MHz. Untill about the end of the 60's Western-Europe had FM on 88-100 Mhz.

Yes, I have one that sounds just as you describe, it's got a turntable on right side, and radio buttons, on the left, it has a beautiful liquor cabinet. Glass shelves, with gold fabric, buttoned in diamond shapes. it stands about two feet high, and about three feet long, the cabinet is pretty. I am debating selling it lately. karen
