Thought I'd share the latest $45 flea market find, a Hunter Zephair model C16 3-speed oscillating fan. This one is in above average condition and, after replacing the power cord, it took off running. I still want to clean it out, lubricate it, and replace the headwire before I put it into regular use.

I'm guessing this to be from the '40's; but, don't know for certain. From what I can tell, the C16 was around for several decades and I'm not familiar on how to tell them apart.

Years ago, I had a similar C16 that had the wrong blades on it. I borrowed a part off of it to fix a smaller C12 and I ended up giving the first C16 away. I'm happy to have the current one and it will serve me well during the spring and summer months.

Here's a video I made of it in operation:

I have a Hunter that must be from that same line, I don't know if it is older or newer. I saved it from a trailer load of scrap metal...it works just fine, but doesn't oscillate. (I need to learn how to fix that) I've gotten rid of most of my old fans but just haven't gotten around to selling that one.
