Here I am, with the first TV I remember at my paternal grandmother's house. It was replaced around 1962 by an RCA "New Vista" consolette which had the tuner on the right side of the cabinet, adjacent to a pushbutton power switch with the volume control on a concentric outer ring.

Enjoy...

It's a 1950 Motorola, possibly the 16 K 2 seen here:

I guess the next question is has anybody ever seen one? Or, know anything about it?

I doubt if it's a collectible.

Any set with a round tube is collectible, some obviously moreso than others. Consoles are usually less desirable than table models, so if one turns up it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg--at least I wouldn't pay any multiple of a hundred for one.

I've seen this model (or similar models) on ebay and craigslist in the past few years. Sure they're collectable, but it's a limited audience and shipping them is a pain.

I restored a sister set (12K2) last year.

Think I saw, and passed on that or a similar model at the ARCI Radiofest 1-3 years ago.

They are definitely out there...
