I have a couple of factory-issued loose-leaf books containing service manuals for many sets.

There is an RCA and there is a Philco. They are both from about 1949-1951, more or less, and contain television, radio, and phonograph service information.

Any interest? I have no use for these but did enjoy perusing them to see what those sets were like and how they were serviced. Lots of photos, schematic diagrams, alignment instructions, etc.

I'd be interested. I'm scanning useful manuals as I find them and post them to share. http://oldtubes.net/library/free_manuals/

Let me know!

Well the books are heavy, as books often are. Make me a reasonable offer and they could be yours. I am in Los Angeles.

Of course, I am in NY state. Any idea on weight?

The RCA is about 7 pounds and the Philco about 8 pounds. Plus packing materials, of course, so add a pound or two for that. Probably most economical to ship them in the same box, if you want both. Or I could ship the contents and toss the binders. The RCA binder is a standard 3 ring job but the Philco has the logo on it and I'd hate to throw that away.

If you ship it, ship it USPS. They have a Media Mail rate that is far less expensive than even parcel post. A 20 pound box from LA to Albany, NY (as an example) in a 16x16x16 box would only cost about $10

Yes that was my plan.
