Some may recall the '66 Airline color combo I have; it has been gathering dust in the corner of my shop for a couple years. Today I pulled the back cover and gave it a once over. I noticed that the focus lead from the crt socket was dangling, and found that this uses a little plastic gizmo about 3" from the socket. One lead runs to the focus circuit, one to ground, third to the crt. Anyway, that gizmo is nothing but a spark gap and this lead has pulled out. I really don't know that I can fix it. Nothing turned up in my junkbox. Any good ideas for a substitute? I've seen plenty of disc caps with built-in gaps plus some tiny dedicated gaps designed to be PC mounted but I don't know if I can put my hand on one readily, or if I could make one work. Once I dig deeper I may find that's the least of my problems!

Edit: it looks like it will be okay; from examining it I think I'm okay just splicing the wires ahead of the 'gizmo'. I think I'll sell/part out this set, anyway. Check the classfieds for that.
