Hello everyone, I have come across a 1953 Hoffman TV RADIO PHONO. The set is in almost perfect condition (I THINK). My question is: In working order and looks good, how much is it worth?

If it is a larger floor model the answer is not very much. Between 10-60$ depending on the market in your area. Most collectors don't go for the consoles as much as they cost too much to merit shipping, and require a lot of space.

Working condition don't help much as any set of that vintage will require a full electronic restoration in order to make it safe to use. The paper and electrolytic capacitors go bad with age, and when they go bad they can ruin other parts that are much more difficult if not impossible to get replacements for. I'd avoid turning it on until a restoration is done.

If it is a green screen "Easy Vision" (I call them queasy vision :D ) then it will be slightly more interesting to a collector than the average console of that era.

If the screen of the TV lights then two parts that are especially tough to get replacements for are good if you connect a signal source like a VCR,DVD player, cable box, converter box (you can't connect an antenna to these TVs and get a signal anymore since the DTV transition) to it and get picture watchable and sound then that is even better.
