I went to go pick up that CTC9 on Saturday, and came back with a vanload of sets!

Anyway, I'm working on this Motorola I picked up, (it's got no vertical) and I don't have a schematic for it: model BP302CL-Q, chassis: E12TS-461A-02, in sams 864-3 - My collection of sams has lots of missing folders in the 1960s. - I have two copies of folder 863 and no 864! Anyone have one I can look at? Thanks.

Sorry I don't think I have that one, but I bet someone will post up. I do want to mention, that there was a modification to do on those. If not already done, it has an instant-on feature that keeps all the filaments at full voltage, and somewhere there was a cold solder joint that could start a plastic fire :-( EEK! I think Consumer Reports put out a warning for fire hazard on it. If yours has that, beware... I think you have to rewire the on-off switch, or remove the vacation switch from the circuit, or do whatever to disable the instant-play.

Nice veneer on the RCA 8T-244. Mine's a bit ragged lol. Congrats on your finds!!!

The 8T-244 was actually an antique store find from a few weeks ago, along with a junker Emerson 612B. That's the good side, the veneer on the other side is peeled off some on the bottom. It has a busted crt, but I already have another 10BP4 ready to go in it.

I could snailmail an original copy if you want; all that scanning is too much work for me!

Plus, you got one of those Astro TV antennas that look like a furry pet on top of the TV? They look more realistic than I remembered.

That's the extra fluffy cat model antenna specially designed for improved reception of color signals:D

I have it working now. One side of the vertical size control was shorted out through this goop on top of the circuit board. Strangely, most of the chassis was pretty clean, just not the back edge. This had also caused two resistors connecting from the vert size control to the boost voltage to go way up in value. Otherwise, there was just a really dirty tuner, and a resistor in the power supply that was replaced, but not soldered in.

There's no instant-on on this set, this must be a model that came either before or after that one ... I'm still repairing the plastic cabinet which was cracked where the antenna attaches.
