Anybody here paying attention to the 10 Meter band? From the West coast, I am hearing Dx like I have never heard before. Lots of SSB and FM (repeater?) activity. Sunspots must be good !

Still, it doesn't compare to 20m; last night I got S9 report from India on long path. Bob ctc17 10-20-2011, 03:48 PM Even some good openings on 6M. Ill have to check out 10, been so dead I haven't even looked at it lately. tubetwister 10-23-2011, 05:23 PM was listening to a Qso on 20m SSB Japan England US bob91343 10-23-2011, 06:20 PM As much fun as 10m can be, it doesn't hold a candle to 20m. Of course, 20m antennas are twice as big and ought to be higher. But that's what ham radio is about, having all the fun you can and doing as much of the setup as you can, yourself. I worked the Guinea station on 20, nice strong sigs. |
