Claims to be an RCA TV stand. Could it be that she just used to have an RCA TV on it, or is this that stand that some one out there has been waiting to find for years?

Its certainly the right height and shape to be an early RCA TV stand but im really not sure.

I'm not sure but that looks like an old radio cabinet (perhaps with a phono in it) cut down. If it was it might say RCA under what was originally the lid.

Kind of reminded me of a Radiola.

The verbage in the ad is her claim that is great for "a" tv stand...not that it is "a" stand. My late 40's RCA stands are simple box frame, X-bracing painted black. Never seen anything else from RCA in wood.

It does look like a mass-produced, 30's table design and it does look like it would be a great display for a vintage radio, even a battery set after massive refinishing.

Now if I could find the factory table for my Sightmaster "Americana"

Good eye Steve and vts1134. It's what's left of a Radiola 46. Looks like they cut the middle section out and placed the lid on the bottom section. So I guess it is an RCA :)

Hmmm......I once made two bad radiola 44s (the table version of the 46) into one good one. If it were closer I'd considder snagging it as a period stand for my 44. :lamo:
