I thought I might start a picture thread about horizontal output tubes, anyone care to join?

First up, the 6CD6 out of the developmental chassis. No one I've talked to has ever seen one like it before, with the twin parallel tubes in one envelope like that. Both sections share the same plate. I do have a 6KD6 from a Philco with the same type of construction, and another of the same type with only one section that's slightly taller. This 6CD6 dates from the 17th week of 1951, and tests at the top of the scale despite having so-so looking getters.

Then there's the very nice looking 6CB5 from the 21-CT-55 I got at the ETF auction. It's got this beautiful coke bottle shape, a big fat base and a supple black plate. It dates from the 4th week of 1955, and has huge screen 'radiators'.
