Show us your Webcor/Webster Chicago equipment!
As you might have guessed from my user name(which came from one of these machines) I have a soft spot for the ruged, stylish, and well engineered products of this brand.
So I have started this thread to share(show off?) my collection, and give others the chance to do the same.

Here is my modest collection of Webcor/Webster Chicago gear.
My first webcor product.

There were at least three colors this model came in including black(above), red(below), and tan tweed(which I regret not purchasing).
My second W/C wire recorder the red one.

Both work well with no repairs on my part whatsoever.

The matching amp(something tells me this is rare).

Both work well and are original(except for the amp which needed the cord replaced, and I did so but transplanted the original plug and did the whole job so that no one can tell that I did anything).

Have you ever heard of a Webster Chicago Record player projector combo? I own one and haven't been able to find any information on it. I have a video slideshow of it on youtube.

Any information?

I have a nearly pristine Webster-Chicago portable wire recorder that I'd love to sell. It's in the maroon colored portable case and has several reels of wire. If it has been used more than a couple of hours I'd be very surprised. Comes with manual, microphone, etc.

I'm afraid that I don't know the history of the company, and if I havent seen one of their products than it is new to me (as is that phono-projector combo, though I can tell you that that is probably from the 1930's, and that I've seen motion picture projectors with phonographs before)
Bob, I don't have the instruction manuals for any of my machines. If it is not too much trouble for you could you please scan your machines manual and email it to me?
If I was not flat broke right now I'd be interested in buying your machine.

Tom, how much do you think I should ask for my machine?
Right now it's at a friend's house; he said he might try to sell it on ebay. So the manual is with him. Next opportunity I will mention it, but honestly the manual is just a little folder, not much to it.

I bought my wire units for around 30-35$ a piece at a meet and a back road Alabama junk shop respectively, so in your shoes I'd make the opening bid around 20-25$.
I still would like a scan of the manual, but if it is too much trouble for you then please don't bother. I'm sure I'll find one sooner or later.
