I just picked up this Leader 17A. The price was reasonable due to cabinet damage. It's not vintage, but I really like the small size and light weight.

I'm happy to say it works just fine :) The dial is calibrated quite accurately too. I would not want to attempt repairing the surface mount PC board.

The only thing I don't like about it is the banana output jacks. I'd prefer BNC. A vernier drive frequency knob would be nice too.

I couldn't find a manual for it, but then I discovered that the B&K 2005B is identical. Hi, I've got the Leader 16 sig gen.. and it came with an adaptor for the BNC test cables. In fact, the test lead that also came with it was 75 ohm. ?? Manual didn't say if it's 50 or 75 ohm??

The gen with the adapter in place.

And supplied 75ohm test cable with BNC connector.

Mine had fried output resistors so I had some repairs to do. But seems to work OK after repairs and Is accurate when feed to my Ham Equipment (since I don't have a O-scope).

My range is from 100khz to 100 Mhz. (90-300 Mhz calibrated harmonics) Adequate for my Am/Fm radio work.

Buzz :D

The schematic doesn't make it clear either - the output is probably higher than 75 ohms impedance.

Cheers,
