Picked up a side-of-the-road RCA that I'm using in a project, and like a fool, I sliced the cabinet up before I could get the model number off the set so I can locate a proper remote. No worries, it's one of those soul-less black plastic things :)

It's an RCA, chassis CTC185B7. Can anyone assist? Thanks :)

Lemme get to work where I can check my Thomson Parts Finder II CD - it has a chassis vs model feature for RCAs, but may not go back that far.

The letters after the chassis number are the real key - functions, mods, tuner capability (181 vs 200+ channel) and the biggie - what size CRT it drives.

The CRT model is A48AB13X02 if that helps.....my guess is this TV is late 90s or early 00's

The suffix letter and number are important for the remote to have every button required but none extra. It might be easier to find a mid-1990s RCA remote with plenty of buttons, and it should do everything required on that TV. Most of the cheap RCA universal remotes will do everything but PIP, as I've found, on RCA TVs.

Per Thomson Parts Finder II, there are three possible models for a CTC185B7 chassis:

MR19035TX3(B7)
F19281TX3(B7)
19GT270TX3(B7)

Remotes listed are: 240959, superceded by 259274, and 240961 (CKT20A2)

Sorry for the delay - been spending time with my Dad who's hospitalized.

CTC185 chassis meant no input, just a RF input at all due to hot chassis. The flyback is the transformer that supplies rest of power to the chassis in run mode.

It would be nice if that was CTC177 or CTC203 so one can use inputs if desired.
