The weather is getting nice and it seems like a good weekend to go out and look at some possible new additions to the collection. Here's a few worth the drive.

Personally I don't consider 90 degree weather "nice",unless you enjoy sweating.:D
The mid 70's is nice.
90-100 degree heat isn't good for cars, people, records or electronics.
I am very thankful for air conditioning!

Good luck with your set hunting though.

Nice TV's. Better take a Van - all of them are very desirable.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a bit more desirable sets being listed lately? Even in my local area there's been more goodies then usual, the ones with decent prices aren't lasting very long either.

I don't know.

Around here in North Carolina, the pickings seem slim.

I've noticed that too. Spring cleaning maybe ?

Looks like an Admiral 17DX12 (or maybe earlier) bakelite tabletop with an intact pencil box door !

When you live in the High Desert of California 80 degree weather is ducky!

I've noticed more sets comming out lately too. Sales are still slow though some of those set have been for sale for a while.

The Admiral is tempting. I started a thread on that one but only got one reply as to pieceing it out. I just want the PB door.

I'm really attracted to that old Console Admiral with the radio and record player. ...and I don't know why.

That's a neat one!
That's one of Ges "coaxial" models and it has a huge speaker!
There is another version in a very slick Danish Modern cabinet designed by Finn Juhl that I really want!

Probably because some of us aren't crazy about the thought of parting out an intact set.
It would be rally cool if you got the set and were able to make a mold of the door so replicas could be made. I bet there are lots of guys who need one

I like that combo Admiral too. Go for for it if you have the room :thmbsp:

You're right - it has the more rectangular look of the 16 inchers.

I had a dream about making a mold of the PB door once but then I woke up. Anyone else had that dream?

One thing about that console Admiral, if I get it I'll be the only one in my neighborhood that has one..

The glass/metal CRT was a 17CP4. The tube in that set is a 16TP4. It's about a 1951 model.
