Not many of these around, a bit pricey on the BIN:

That's driving distance for me, but more than I'd want to spend for it.

That's really nice but just a little out range. Half the price, if it was in driving distance, I'd seriously consider it.

That's got to be one of the nicest Blond finishes I've ever seen, usually they are trashed.

Im sure one of you close by can talk him down a bit. I'd probably go $200-250 on that since it looks so nice.

WOW!....That is one pretty set! I can't believe the condition, plus a 19" jug that lights up. :thmbsp:

Quite a few of us would probably be willing to spend 20 hours of work to get a finish that looks that nice. If that is really as nice as it looks, and it is original, I'd say the BIN price is justified.

Blond finishes are pretty much impossible to reproduce these days, so that only adds to the value of a pristine original like this.

Looks like this set was kept indoors and probably covered for most of the last 60 years!

I just restored this nice blond Admiral [edit: woops! I meant Magnavox] ( http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/magnavox_264k_cr223eradi_ct246bt.html ), which also has a pretty good original finish -- but not nearly as nice as this DuMont.

Wow! That Admiral is beautiful
I agree about the price. If it was closer I'd be tempted to go for it.
