View Full Version : Here's a very special set for somebody...
JB5pro 03-03-2011, 08:01 PM Item number: 280638534137
It appears to just need a cap or two. Incredible looking CRT since it looks original on top of being brightly colorful.
JB5pro 03-03-2011, 08:03 PM I was looking again at ebay pics of the set and I bet the caps are working good for now. Maybe just a resistor or two for the vertical. Cabinet looks incredible from the front.
ctc17 03-03-2011, 08:59 PM When it was fixing tvs for people, every customer thought vertical shrinkage was 'I think it needs a new picture tube'.
Thats a sweet a set with a good starting price. I hope someone here will step up with an open wallet and outbid the fishtankers.
bgadow 03-03-2011, 10:22 PM If you're looking for a CTC-10, why not have a rare Emerson version? They sure didn't do too much to disguise it. I like that Emerson color insignia on the control panel.
Kevin Kuehn 03-03-2011, 11:28 PM So...Did RCA supply them with the chassis, or were they licensed to copy the year old models? My untrained eye can't spot any differences.

Done!
Steve D. 03-04-2011, 06:51 PM Looks like it has CTC-11 printed on the back of the chassis. Late '61 or '62 model. Not many of these around.

Steve D. 03-05-2011, 08:05 PM You're right Kevin. I viewed it on an HDTV screen. Less resolution, looked like CTC-11.

Eric H 03-07-2011, 10:37 PM Someone retracted their $175 bid, "Entered wrong amount"
It's back down to $51
RCAkid 03-10-2011, 01:13 PM It's at $76 now. I sure hope I win this one. I have been looking for a CTC-10 for a long time and to have one that has the uniqueness of being an Emerson, rebranded RCA is pretty cool.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
RCAkid 03-10-2011, 01:14 PM Praying that I win this sweet ol set.
JB5pro 03-13-2011, 01:46 PM Only 7 hours... I hope u win it!
RCAkid 03-13-2011, 09:55 PM $255. I couldn't get get that last bid in time. :(
I sure hope it got a good home.
zenithfan1 03-14-2011, 10:21 AM Who got 'er for $255? After that cabinet is repaired, it will be beautiful:yes: Good luck to whomever won.
I merged the two threads about the same tv to avoid clutter and confusion, I hope that's cool with the original posters.
