hi all i have a 6dq5 tube to test but i only have a listing for a 6dq6 could this be tested. and others with the same 3-4 digits but with some other letters on the end confuses me as to if i can test tubes with extra digits on the end, or should the first 3-4 letters or numbers be the same to test no matter whats on the end.:scratch2:

Similar but different tubes in rating and some pin connections. Compare the suggested subs on the attached.

yes little difference, pin 8 so i dont know if it would be safe for the tube to be tested.

If it does'nt sub out to anything thats listed on your chart, I would'nt trust testing it. Your tester manufacturer might have updated charts someplace.
So many different tubes over a 50 year timespan...thats why I own more than 1 tester.
