Seriously. OK, it ain't exactly a CT-100, but it IS color, & it apparently works fine...It's on You-Know-Where, item #90500051697, a TMK 5" color set, even though its listed as B&W, the pic is clearly a color set. Hell, even if it IS really a B/W set, who cares ? Either way, if I don't Feel the Love for it, its tradin' fodder, or a gift for some kid or somesuch. I don't know how many of the ones I've bought offa here have ended up that way, anyhow. Some kid'll come thru here, get all bug-eyed, & end up the new, proud daddy or mommy of an AA5 or a TV. That's NOT my Ebay handle or anything, I "Hi-Jacked" the account of Walter, my bud who comes over here & runs his coin business thru my computer. I don't think he'll be TOO mad...Thought y'all would get a kick outta this...(grin)

TMK = Toyo Menka (Tomen is the parent company). Good sets, but lousy support for their products. We had one with an open yoke. The company's answer was to send us another returned/bad unit to let us get whatever parts we needed off of it. Of course, the yoke on the set they sent us was good, but no piece-parts support ain't fun for anybody.

Cheers,

Nah, the shipping is $20. So, I paid $20 for it. Still a pretty good deal if its color & works...

Well, won ANOTHER little color set...This time a Sony, instead of some no-name brand. Its a Color Watchman, item #160543084852, an FDT-5BX5, for $26.00. Had one of these "Back in th' Day", & gave it away to my 1st cousin when she went off to college. Naturally, wanted it back ever since. Me 'n' my loopy Collectin' Urges....Sheesh !

Don't really remember, it was an "Open-Box Special", seems like it was around $75-100. Both of mine are/were white, I'd druther have a black one. But I'll be happy w/this one...They don't come up every day. And even tho they're NOT Trinitrons, they still have decent pics, & seem to be well-built.

Well, got my 1-penny color set in, & lo 'n' behold, it works dandily. Ain't got the one Sony in yet, tho.

...I also scored a teeny-tiny Sony Trinitron KX-4200 monitor/TV that the only obvious defect is a broken off antenna tip...It even tries to pick up some ghostly signal on one of the VHF channels, prolly bleed-off from the cable system somehow...Never seen olne of these come up B4...Got it on "Buy-It-Now" for $150, maybe a little steep, but, y'know, so what ? My sister told me this evening she dropped $75K for a fuggin' mare, a horse who can belch real big, & keel over dead...So WHO'S the crazy one ?!?

I picked one at a thrift for a sawbuck. That is one killer wallwart that comes with it. I didn't see the Trinitron logo on it. Does the Indextron have that designation on it? It's really a great working little set.

No, I'm pretty sure it is a conventional CRT-not even a Trinitron. Still a good set, though.

Got both the Sonys in, & they're fine. The FDT had some black streaks-skint places, looked like- on it, but they came off w/judicious use of paint thinner. Also scored a Panasonic TR-4060P, that funky little "Flipper 4" B/W set from 1982. One way you position it, you have an AM/FM radio, flip it, & its the TV... The radio seems to be unusually sensitive for sets of its type, & the TV looks like it'd work fine, too-If we had any analog left...Always wanted one of 'em, now I got a dandy, even Lauriann approves...Even has a clock !
