Does anybody here run a converter box thru to a TV transmitter and broadcast thru the house so they can use older sets without a converter box? This has been an idea of mine for a few monthes, and would make watching The Tonight Show a lot easier out in the garage when I get that urge at 10:30 to fix something...

I've done a little bit of research on the matter and I've found gadgets like this, http://cgi.ebay.com/Ramsey-TV6C-VHF-TV-Transmitter-Kit-/360283781565?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e29639bd
I'm not sure I'm convinced that one little circuit board can do all the advertisement promises, so I figured I'd start a thread on this forum and see if anybody else had any advice...

And legally speaking, is this? I've heard that you can legally broadcast up to 300 feet before, but haven't looked much farther into it than that...

Yep! The Blonder Tongue modulators work very well! There are many threads on this website discussing set-up legality ect. here is one to get you started:

Various models (pulled from CATV service) show up on eBay all the time.
add eBay example:

Thanks for your help. I was considering the Blonder Toungue thing too, but wasn't sure anybody else knew what they were so I didn't want to look too weird all at once :)
