I love it when people try to fake intelligence.

I'm tempted to tell him that he can determine how good the tube is by how
high it bounces.

Kinda pricey for a untested rebuilt CRT.

Just three months ago, I purchased TWO 19DP4As. One was unused, in a moldy box. One was used. Both measured 14 out of 15 on my emission scale.

Price? 40 bucks apiece...:smoke:

Rebuilt in June 1963? I'll pass for sure. Can't hide the fact that it was rebuilt when JFK was still with us!

Cheers,

Cheers,

Nothing wrong with that, in fact I'd prefer one that was rebuilt back when quality mattered.
The getters look very solid but the price is absurd, I don't think there's a 16" set out there worth $500.

I bought a NOS RCA 16AP4 from 1949 off ebay about 10 years ago for $50.
It works fine today, my Avatar is taken from that set.

I think he may have estimated it's value from this one, equally ridiculous.

They both have "Make Offer" buttons so they may be fishing.

If anyone has an interest (which I doubt) it's about 10mins from my house.

Pretty sure you're right. He's had it listed since at least September.

He also has a refrigerator that he sold once in June for $1K, but apparently ended in a shipping dispute. He now has it listed for $2.5K.

Some of these guys must have a lot of storage space and are willing to wait for someone desperate enough.

Just found this thread...note the seller is one of those consignment operators. I detest these characters as they always bump the price into the stratosphere. Because of this, their customers end up getting screwed doubly: the item (if it sells) takes forever to do so, and more often than not the thing never does sell...or when it does it goes for the price it should've a year earlier.

Plus these consignment dillweeds act as if they're experts in everything they offer, reminds me of pawn shops. Feh

Be careful,he just might try it!

Ask him if he's checked the chamber for bullets.
