I spent a few hours at the Antique Radio Club of Illinois RadioFest this morning and took a bunch of pictures. There were so many TVs I figured I'd post them here and the radios over in the antique radio forum (http://www.videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=248513).

What I found really amazing is that almost all the TVs were very collectable models, in good condition at reasonable prices. I stuck to my guns and didn't buy any...

Here we go!

Here's the first set I spied - a "Super Crosley"

Next up, an early RCA combo that was already sold. Anyone know the model # ? I couldn't find it at tvhistory.tv

Here's a cool "Chinese" Stromberg Carlson

Hotpoint portable

Predicta Pedistal - $475. Later marked down to $350 IIRC

Crosley, 630TS clone - $150
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4076/4866735949_130e096566_z.jpg

Tele-Tone - sorry for the bad focus
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4119/4867352094_27e6c078fe_z.jpg

RCA 621TS - $1,500 asking price. So tempting, but I couldn't swing that kind of $$
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4118/4866739809_f86a6f57c7_b.jpg

Philco Safari - $295
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4101/4867355674_6e9b14983d_z.jpg

Motorola 7" suitcase set, fully restored - $300
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4143/4867387586_e78f79afcc_b.jpg

I'd love to get one of these clocks someday - $295

Not bad for a "radio" fest :D

Here's the whole gallery of photos (http://www.flickr.com/photos/70039806@N00/sets/72157624544026403/with/4866771319/) I took.

What were some of the other prices for the tvs? I can almost read those tags and if I am seeing them correctly, they are really cheap-well, cheaper than comparable models have been going for on ebay...

Bob:

I wish I would have known that you were there, I would have liked to meet you in person. It was sort of like a mini ETF convention, at least 10 people were there that usually attent ETF.

I too was good, I bought nothing!

I updated the OP with the prices I could make out.

I actually did pick up some much needed odds and ends. 7C7 for a Philco 46-420, tube shield for a Sparton, power resistor for an Admiral TV and best of all - an RCA UX-280 for my Westinghouse WR-8.

All the 6SL7s and 12SN7s had been cleared out by the 'audiophiles' earlier in the morning :(
Those 6X5s are the X plate variety.

It tests like new  These are such a pain to find these days.

Some very nice merchandise! Wish I could be there!

The RCA console is a 641; uses a 630 chassis, apparently were made beyond '46. I sold mine earlier this year.

Between the Crosley 630 clone and the Teletone sits a National boatanchor that grabs my attention. I have a similiar model...great radio, and worked well until I decided to fix it:(

Had to work today or I would of been there:tears:. They say there will still be some stuff going on tomorrow until noon. I may try to stop by, unfortunately I am looking for stuff super cheap, like less than $50:yes:. I will report in if I find anything different than Bob.

They were plenty of radios and test equipment under $50. I forgot to take any pictures of that stuff, but I do recall seeing EICO 324 RF generators, several tube testeters, VTVMs and so on.

I'm not sure why they hold the main events on Friday and not Sat/Sun. Maybe something to do with the hotel arrangements :scratch2:

Yikes! I didn't check on the asking price at the fest, but I bet it was a lot less than that.

The blonde Predicta went for 200 bucks. It was recapped, good flyback and CRT but missing some knobs.
