Oh boy! Doesn't that give you that Christmassy feeling to see that? It might even work! I am sure glad it was offered and you guys found it :) I guess it's kinda odd I think of Christmas seeing the offer... I guess I am wanting big presents this year.
It will be great to see that set turned on. I think the odds would haver it that it has a good fly and CRT and therefore will likely come on just needing the usual adjustents.

Yep, I've got the identical set and it's a good one to have! This is worth somebody driving a ways.

"A ways" would be 3,100 miles one way for me :(

I cannot believe someone is giving something like that away for free. Im waiting for someday to find one like that at Value Village. If i did have one i could sell it to someone named superblonde for a profit ha ha!

Calm down boys.......this set was gone within minutes of DaveWM's posting here this morning at 9:03am. And no....I wasn't the one who claimed it.....even though I would like to have brought it home to my house. Bob

I bet someone who could not go get it wrote the seller telling them it was very valuable hoping they would not let it go to a fishtank artist. Or more likely somebody just got lucky to get the first email request in and is very happy now.

I live no more than 20 minutes away, and I missed it.

I remember seeing the superblonde454 name on Ebay prior to you buying the Admiral, and i remember thinking that she must have pretty good taste in electronics!:D:scratch2:

Could have been anyone. People are tirelessly scrounging craigslist for anything they can use or hoard or flip. Last week my wife listed a couple of very ratty free items and was drowned with responses within minutes. Virtually everyone said they could pick them up right away, not after work, which to me says they're unemployed, underemployed, "working at home" . . . .

yea I got a tv that way, but it was a bit odd. She never would answer email, no phone for me to call.

after trying for weeks she finally repsonded, I had all but given up.

Turns out she stopped responding after gettin deluged (sp) with email, she would follow up with phone calls, the folks would be "right over" and never show up. After doing that for a while she just stopped responding.

no such luck with this TV. I have to assume no one here got it since I am sure there would have been a posting by now. Just hope it did not get fish tanked.
