This had weak sound and buzzing in the sound, it had the usual bad electrolytics, then a weak sound IF tube. After being on for a few minutes the horiz size shrunk some, that was just a bad resistor.

Very nice picture on that set, I bet it looks great when sitting upright:D

Nice set and looks like a very strong CRT. Looks like you used Sprague Atom capacitors; so, it will probably last from now on. Does that set have a power transformer or is it series string?

IIRC, those do have a power transformer.

As far as I know all these b/w Zeniths have power transformers. I have a: 1960 17" metal SC300, 1960 21" console, 1961 23" console SC300, 1961 23" console, 1961 19" metal, 1963 19" metal SC300, 1966 19" metal SC300, 1967 19" metal, 1971 23" metal, and they all have power transformers.
