View Full Version : 40's Television sink? captainmoody 06-21-2010, 07:58 AM Forget fishtanking, look at this way to "repurpose" a vintage set! This guy worries me.. http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/atq/1799699302.html captainmoody 06-21-2010, 08:00 AM Would anyone really want to buy this? I'm sure there's someone that would.. It's funny, but when I see a set like that, I can't help but think of Walter Matthau in the film Grumpy Old Men. The part where he says he can fix the Zenith that had been converted into a fish tank. Being an old tv man, I think the same way! Reece 06-21-2010, 08:39 AM That just looks like "Dogpatch" to me. miniman82 06-21-2010, 10:09 AM REPOST: http://videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=248098 Adam 06-21-2010, 10:21 AM :puke: I don't know if that's better or worse than the cat box... Sandy G 06-21-2010, 10:52 AM As W.C.Fields woulda said, "Godfey Daniel !" captainmoody 06-21-2010, 12:14 PM Sorry about the repost. I forgot to check for a previous one. Oh well, at least the ad was new to me! drh4683 06-21-2010, 12:54 PM Sorry about the repost. I forgot to check for a previous one. Oh well, at least the ad was new to me! Thats no excuse. If you read VK rules and regulations chapter 7 subpart F paragraph 5.1, then you'd know that you're supposed to make sure nobody else has brought up a similar topic before posting. That being said, your actions are out of line and you are subject to VK probation for not less than 30 days. zenithfan1 06-21-2010, 12:59 PM That's it! You're banned for life!! I thought everyone knew about chapter 7 subpart F and paragraph 5.1. Shame on you! LMFAO! Just kidding. captainmoody 06-21-2010, 01:57 PM I promise to be good.. (fingers crossed!) LOL! John Marinello 06-21-2010, 02:05 PM Maybe the mods will cut him some slack, but only if he buys that s(t)ink, installs it in his main bathroom for no less than 30 days, then restores it to original working condition :D wa2ise 06-21-2010, 05:07 PM As I said in the otehr thread: Hopefully I mention this as a pre-empetive strike: radio cabinet placed around a toilet bowl tank... :thumbsdn: :tears: :sigh: :nono:  :yikes: :saywhat: :pity: :puke: :puke2: :wtf: :yuck: :(  pugs5061 06-21-2010, 08:43 PM Maybe this is a situation where installing modern components in an old cabinet would be ok. The LCD screen would be thin enough to allow the drain pipe by and you could sit on the toilet and keep up with the game on your vintage television :D pugs5061 06-21-2010, 08:44 PM I'm joking!! I'm also sick to my stomach. Carmine 06-22-2010, 04:25 AM Thats no excuse. Glenz75 06-26-2010, 12:05 AM Hi Sandy, thanks for the compliment, yeah I like it too, although it now has missing gaps and a couple of things have moved since I took that photo, but its better than having them all piled in a corner. That wall is only for display, my main listening setup is in another part of the room. :) Glen- Me REALLY likey yr avatar-"Wall of Sound" picture... mbates14 06-26-2010, 06:37 PM Thats no excuse.
