This is the craigslist set DaveWM posted before we left for SC. Chassis number :thmbsp::yes::thumbsdn::scratch2::music::m usic::nono:

To bad fedex dropped it, the crt shifted and cracked the mask. This has an absolutely awesome picture. It also has several added limiters and controls the regular sets dont.
Im watching Lady Gaga videos and I have never seen color and definition out of a tube set like this before.

Turn the set off. Get a strong magnifier and see if there is black between the phosphor dots.

I did that and I do see something like that. I looked at an old 22jp22 and it looks like flat greenish powder.
Now Im going through all the sets and looking at the crts.

If thats the case it makes an amazing difference in the color and picture quality.

LOL!!!!

No model or chassis number on top of the HV cage? Thats definitly a hotel or hospital set with the index wheel for the channel cut out behind the tuner. I see the chassis number barely on the paper tube diagram. Its 14A something, so its a 1970 model so far.....

Nice set! Show us some pictures of it turned on.

Too bad fedex dropped it. Luckily, it didn't receive any more damage than it did.

I'll look this one up in my service data when I get home. Strange chassis number, only used on hotel or hospital sets. I'll find out for sure what application this chassis was all about.

The Zenith TV may have been 'in residence' but as a hard working employee, not a guest!

CTC17, You could always epoxy fill the cracked up plastic mask and sand it in and paint it. I have had to do this with a CTC-28 once.. Looked good.

I remember staying in a lot of Ramada Inns and Holiday Inns in the early 70s when traveling on vacation with my parents and finding those sets in the rooms. Seemed built like battleships.

Yep, Pencrest Caravan Fontaine with synchronized dual revolving crts, simulated wood grain channel selector and 32 thousand volt Ambassador Chassis for superb picture power.
There was also the Mandalay Lexington with the thyristor shaded pole esquire remote system. That set had the 61sa4 revolving color wheel tube made by lite brite in the tuner.
Neat sets, real hard to find now.

I have a spare 61SA4 if you need one, but I think mine was a Lite-Brite knockoff from TG&Y.
