Been searching the collection of Sydney's Powerhouse Museum http://www.powerhousemuseum.com and came across to my surprise a G.E.C roundie colour monitor http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=249201&search=colour+monitor&images=&c=&s= . The monitor looks like it's based off a CTC-5 to CTC-9 design in terms of TV screen and bevel, guess it would of been made around 1958/59. The monitor was used with the EMI Type 204 3 tube colour vidicon studio camera that is also at the museum http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=249192&search=emi+204&images=&c=&s= .

Anyways I hope the Powerhouse Museum will put it on display with the EMI 204 camera one day, I went there in 2006 to see the TV exhibition as that year was the 50th anniversary of television in Australia and they had everything else but that colour camera chain on display.

Very interesting what turns up in Australia :).

Surprising to find a roundie in Oz. Looks like it's a precision control monitor - maybe an original UK [G.E.C.] design using some RCA components/kine.
