You may want to post this in the "Early Color" or "Rectangular Tube" forums. It looks mid-1960s to me. Unfortunatly, I don't know what has any value other than round tube this (B&W) and round tube that (color). Don't forget the Philco (UN)Predicta. I hate this, and I hope the hobby moves past the trend. Everyone can't have a room full of "roundies."

They made a TON of VERY interesting and, probably after around 60 years, rare sets in the 50s and 60s.

I'd guess the date to be 1960-62, give or take. Kinda unique.

It's b&w... 61 or 62 I think. If I'm not mistaken, someone here got one of these with that same cabinet a few months back... with that same lower shelf.

Wow - that's extremely similar to the C-M I found a few months back. I believe the date codes were late 1961.

The shape of the picture looks like the 23"/22V black and white sets that were common from about 1962 to the end of BW consoles (de jure circa 1978, de facto circa 1971).

What is different about this one is the cover glass. Every other set of this ilk I know of had none. Did CM provide a redundant cover glass over what was already a bonded CRT, or was there a tube of this shape that was not bonded?

It's likely a 23" tube. My '63 Curtis Mathes uses that same squared off mask with the sharper corners and a 23AHP4 ... and has the flat dark safety glass... which I thought they all had that on the old black and white tubes of the early 60's and prior. My 65 Maggie also has the flat safety glass.

Very pretty. But I think I'll be generous, and let someone else have a whack at this deal.
