I'm sure many of you already know me from the UK vintage forum:
http://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/index.php?

(PS: I will no longer be seen there. You can now find me in the UK at http://vintagetvandradio.myfreeforum.org/index.php)

I probably won't be a frequent contributor to Videokarma but I'll drop in from time to time.

Unfortunately this forum won't allow me to use my animated penguin avatar but I think the one I've chosen is suitable

Yeah, a lot of mixed feelings. It stinks to see my hometown lose, but I'm glad to avoid the chaos and expense.

Just a quick note to say that you can now find me in the Vintage Radio and TV (VRAT) forum: http://vintagetvandradio.myfreeforum.org/index.php

This is primarily a UK forum but we have members from other parts of the world. Like Videokarma, it's a pretty relaxed place. If you want to join VRAT you will be made very welcome.

Welcome to the forum Mr Ellis. There are not enough Bush and Pye sets here.

Is your avatar inspired by the Monty Python episode where
John Cleese asked "what's on the Telly" and
Graham Chapman replied "looks like a penguin" ?

No, but that was a great scene.

I wanted to use this animated GIF as my avatar but for some reason it wouldn't work properly as an avatar in this forum.
