That's actually a color set from the early '80's that probably uses the 9-160 based system 3 chassis.

Well, that set is only a 45 min. drive for me.
Might have to see about getting that set if the price is right.

They had very good pictures when working right. The main things you'll have to worry about is problems on the 9-160 board; as in bad solder connections, shorted HOT, burning flyback transformer, etc.

I have one which was working great until recently. Amazingly bright crt. Assembled in St. Louis with Mexican parts; mine dates from '80 as I recall. Anyway, mine lost HV, I've temporarily given up one getting it to go. Another set that would be free to somebody if they actually drove out here to bumfuddle Egypt...

There is another one of these that has been languishing at the Salvation Army thrift for months now. Last time I was in they had a sale, every TV $5/each. They also had its direct competitor from RCA, another nice set.
