I might be able to scan it and e-mail it to you. I have one of these and they are great sets. They are cramped to work on though. I had to disassemble mine completely to recap it. Phil Nelson 01-08-2009, 01:16 PM This article has restoration notes that you may find helpful. http://www.antiqueradio.org/rca16.htm Have fun! The tag on the set said, sound but no picture. Opened it up when I got it home and found blown fuse in the horz circuit. Replaced that and it plays with excellent picture. So now for the challenge of recapping and don't really want to start that without a schematic on hand. compucat 01-10-2009, 01:34 PM Thanks Compucat, that would be very much appreciated. I sent the Sams to the e-mail address you gave me. It is a 13 meg PDF file so I hope the e-mail will take it. Sometimes anything over 5 megs gets kicked back. Chimes 01-14-2009, 12:27 AM I haven't see the file yet, so I may have been to large. Thanks for trying. Eric H 01-14-2009, 12:52 AM I have a basic schematic posted here: http://www.vintagetvsets.com/schem/kcs100.pdf There are a couple different chassis so I don't know if this one will be exact, I think the difference is in the vertical section. I also have the owners manual for these sets posted here: http://www.vintagetvsets.com/schem/personalportable.pdf 7"estatdef 01-14-2009, 06:49 AM Tnx for the copy of the owners manual very kewl! How's that tuner coming along? No rush. Terry Eric H 01-14-2009, 10:28 AM Hi Terry, I was supposed to send you a tuner wasn't I? :scratch2: I'm sorry, it completely slipped my mushy mind. :sigh: I'll get on that this evening, remind me again if you don't hear from me in a day! Chimes 01-15-2009, 12:04 AM Thanks Eric, that helps a lot. Chimes 02-16-2009, 01:03 PM Finally finished the restoration on this little portable set.
