Hey all, Im thinking about parting with my airline color roundie combo unit. I have aligned it and replaced all bad tubes. Checked caps for ESR readings (not recapped) and looks to be in spec. Has an excellent picture when connected to satellite. 21FJP22 checks well with my sencore meter. Has good contrast ratios too. This is a rare one (not remote controlled). Any takers in the area? Ill deliver, just gimmie gas money. The stereo works excellent and also is tube controlled and has amazing sound and rich tones and the phono is good too. THis set uses the magnavox U903 chassis and has UHF.

I know I should be posting this in the classified section but for some reason I cant do it..

Uggggh. Me too. I really like that set, I remember when you got and the story behind it (about the old lady and it was from an apartment IIRC). I was drooling then and still am now. If I were a little better off, I would already have a moving company wrapping it up and sending it to Wisconsin. You just don't see these anymore, at least not an Airline even though it's made by Magnavox. I don't even think these were common then. Maggie combos are usually a rectangular for the most part. Roundie combos don't seem to come by too often no matter what the brand. I really hope this finds a good home.

Shoot, sorry guys you are on the east coast.. I'd love to see it go to a collector (thats the only folks who are going to get it too). I have a feeling that if I gave it to someone out here (not including the ones I know on this site) that live around me it would be gutted and turned into a wine rack or something like that...

I'd have it shipped to NYC. Nah, that would be a disaster!!! I never see Maggies though. Would be nice.

PLEASE don't post photos :nono: ... I'm too dangerously close. But I'd need a helicopter right now, I guess, with the blizzard-like conditions along the Sierras. We can't even get north out of Los Angeles on Interstates 5 or 14... Been closed since Wednesday with un-plowable snow and ice.

Seriously, it's tempting! I'm about 5 hours from you.

I'll be glad to take the set. I'm located in Los Angeles (Hollywood area). Why don't we communicate by email to make the arrangements. My email is ralph@filmtech.com.

If you do, that will allow me to stop tormenting myself about making an excuse to go after it; and to make space where there isn't any  ...
