Does anyone know the model number for a late 50'S (57-58 I think) 21" GE that had a unique tuner with a button beside each number and a shaded pole motor that would rotate the tuner when it was pushed? I think the motorized tuner set up was used with a wired remote system for changing channels.

The set also had a vertical PCB. I remember the one I worked on had caught fire and the vertical PCB made the damage worse.

Thanks all

Try 21C2550.

Love those tuners, they would stop automatically on any active station when the remote was used (clockwise advance only) or you could press the button of the desired channel on the selector.

They had a name for that tuning system and I can't remember what it was. I have only seen one and it was at an estate sale, way cool design, it had a glass face that the buttons came through. I got all excited and ran over to see the sold sign next to the 10$ sticker.

I'm not sure if that is the same chassis, but it's close. I remember the TV had short legs and swiveled on a base

That looks very similiar, but the knobs and the right side seem different. I'll look through dad's old SAMs and see if he still has the one on the set.
