This looks like an early 17 inch metal tube RCA set #320316118680 on eBay
but I can't find anything that looks like it in Sams. Anybody know for certain
what model it is?
Thanks for any help.

Interesting, the set looks like any other RCA of the period with the exeption of having a rectangular c.r.t. I'm not sure what year RCA started phasing out the round tubes. Just guessing I would say 1952 or so....

I had a 15" version of this which I sold a few years back, along with a nearly identical Philco. I know the Philco was a '54, and about the end of the line for those. Pretty common about 52-53.

IIRC RCA had round-to-rectangular conversion kits available for the older sets. Somewhere I have literature on this. The set pictured could be an earlier one converted thus.
