opening the back doors at the tv shop this morning and there sat a zenith chromacolor 2 it is in great shape i plugged it in and it fired right up. it has the instant on feature. it has the flat chassis in it. the picture on it was without an antenna hooked up. the crt is nice and bright. however i had to turn the horiz hold all one way for it to lock in. these pics. were taken with my cellphone.

I imagine the owner was thinking that he/she was finding it a good home.

At least they were being thoughtful of you! How many times have we've seen ignorance take over any rationality....

That could be the case. There's been many times when I'd find a TV in my carport when I got up in the morning or when I'd come home. I don't know where most of them came from to this day.

That looks like a 25EC58Z flat chassis! I bet the original owner got tired of waiting 30+ years for it to quit working so they could buy a new set....

Seems like a reverse trick or treat. Strangers show up in the night to leave you a little treat! great picture without an antenna, I even recognize Snook the stoner sloth from that PBS kids show.

Well I was gonna ask but was afraid to. Looks like Big Bird and Mr. Snuffleuphagus had a love child, and taught it how to do the Go-Go.

Most disturbing...

That was probably the best SS chassis that Zenith built! Oh, that explains why I haven't had many come my way over the years. They are all still working!

people who do right by others. Most people I have encountered would rather destroy it than give it to anybody.

the time before this we had a later chromacolor sitting there and on top was a zenith allegro wedge stereo on top. perfect condition works great minus the 8 track deck. i have the stereo at home. i have 3 of those. but whoever left it didnt leave the speakers.
