What a miserable fate. I would feel better if they had simply pitched this Admiral into the dumpster.

While I think it's indeed a shame that a piece of electronics history would be taken out of circulation, I have to admit that watching a cat use a litter box in a TV cabinet would probably be far more entertaining than most present-day network television programming offerings.

I have a evil idea! How about one of our esteemed members of the CT-100 club take just one of their cabinets sans guts and tape a picture of Howdy Doody inside of the front glass. Then they take it to a taping of the Antiques Road Show and have a appraiser tell them if they had kept it in original condition it would have been worth thousands of $, but since they threw away the guts it is now worthless. this would take a little trickery on the Ct-100 owners part, he would have to look convincing and really act like he had thrown away the internals when he said it. If it looked convincing and the producers used the clip, it could send a message to the shabby chic artist wannabees. logan

hhhmm.. I actually kinda like the idea.. but I would have kept the wood and not painted it...

Face it. Some TV's are not repairable. Rather than fill the dump with trash, someone saved some space, and gave their cat a place they could shit in peace...

Hello!
No question to see things like that cause pain in every TV collectors soul:tears:
Anyway- anybody should tell these girls that removing crts from vintage TVs is dangerous and could cause fatal injuries in the worst case:nono:
If my English was good enough I would do it myself.
Greetings Josef

That is sad.
I would have used a small swinging plasma instead of the curtain on the outhouse.
Do cats like green?

Do cats like green?

I've heard that cats have less color vision than people do. Cats can tell blue from yellow, but not red from green. How about that, an instance where a human sensory system out-performs an animal's. But human noses stink, though. Cats' luma receptors do do better in near dark conditions, though. Humans' claim to fame is the best brains on the planet, and having good hands helps too...
