The commercial in the previous post came from a TV program called the Four Star Review from December 1950. In the middle of this hour long variety show Hal March and Jack Carson (at least I think its Jack Carson) did a three minute commercial for Motorola televisions disguised as a comedy routine, imbedded right in the show. The two of them literally ripped apart a 1951 19" Motorola round screen set, maybe a 19AP4? It rather funny and very fun to watch, TV advertising TV in its infancy.

Anyway, I've been meaning to get around to digitizing and sharing this clip for a while, so finally here it is. For those of you with fast internet connections, this Windows Media Video file is 7mb. If you would like to save it to your hard drive, right click and select "Save Target As".

YAY!:D

I love Christmas TV! I also like that combo. Seems like Moto was ahead of the game with their sets.

I have the radio and record changer from one of those consoles, the TV had already been removed though :(
